How it works

The model in plain terms

  1. 1Estimate daily wagering volume across your machines — count × average bet × games/hour × hours open.
  2. 2Apply a contribution rate matched to your desired hit frequency — faster hits need a higher rate.
  3. 3Project a ceiling from that rate over one full period, seeded at a modest starting fraction.
  4. 4Average win value is the midpoint of that range — where a mystery jackpot pays out on average.
FAQ

Calculator questions

How accurate is this calculator?+

It is a planning tool, not an actuarial one. It gives a directionally sound starting point using typical mid-market assumptions for games-per-hour and floor hours. Your exact contribution rate, seed and ceiling should be tuned during a real build to your game math, RTP and regulatory limits.

What is a jackpot contribution rate?+

The percentage of every wager on a linked machine that is diverted into the jackpot pool instead of the base game. Faster desired hit frequencies typically need a higher contribution rate so the pool refills quicker; rarer, larger jackpots can fund more slowly toward a bigger number.

I don't know my games-per-hour or floor hours — does that matter?+

The calculator uses sensible defaults (500 games/hour, 18 hours/day) so you can get a useful estimate immediately. Open "Advanced assumptions" to adjust either figure if you know your own throughput — it changes the estimated daily wagering volume the whole model is built on.

Can Prosperity Gaming build the exact configuration this suggests?+

Yes — send us the numbers from this calculator via the quote form and we will return a tailored contribution structure, seed and ceiling for your venue, matched to your bet range and level structure, within one business day.
